What type of wood is it?

• All of our Bundle/Rack wood is mixed hardwood. We source all of our firewood from local tree companies so whatever they bring in, we split and it all gets mixed together.

• Our bucket wood is almost all mixed hardwood too. Occasionally a chunk of pine will get mixed in, but the overwhelming majority is mixed hardwood.

• The Urban Candle is almost always made from pine. It is designed for outdoor use and the pine actually works better for the candles too.

How soon can we expect delivery?

We aim for a window of 48-72 hours once the checkout process is completed. If everything works out with our schedule, we can make same day deliveries too. If there is a string of bad weather, it may take longer only because we want to keep your firewood dry.

Is our firewood order ready to burn?

Yes, we only deliver naturally dried firewood. We use a moisture meter to make sure our wood is under 20% moisture content. Even in our first year, we were able to deliver ready to burn firewood on all of our orders.

How much is delivery, stacking?

All delivery and stacking/placement is built into our price. There are no surprises with us. We try to make our service as simple and easy as possible for you.

Can we order a face cord, full cord?

Right now, the answer is no. The most we deliver at once is an Urban Rack or Rack Reload which is 1/3 of a face cord.

ULC is designed to deliver you a better product, in a smaller amount so you no longer need to order, store and pay for all that wood up front. Our prices are as competitive as they come and includes delivery + stacking in the price.

How far do you deliver?

We will deliver anywhere in Illinois, BUT we do have a minimum order requirement, based on mileage. We have 2 locations, Lemont and Brookfield. If outside of 10miles from either location, we will require you to order a certain dollar amount, based on your distance. It is NOT a fee, you would just have to order a little more ULC products to cover the cost of delivery. Don’t worry, it won’t be that bad.

Do I need to be home to receive delivery?

You do not need to be home when we deliver, unless you want to be. The easiest way is to give us specific instructions on where you want it stacked or placed. Even better would be send us a picture (via email) with your order. We will try our best to customize your delivery for you.

What is the minimum order requirement?

The minimum order requirement is in place for far deliveries with extended travel. The further we we have to drive, the more cost there is associated with the delivery. Instead of charging a delivery fee, we decided it’s best for everyone if you ordered a little more product. That way the extra amount you spend, isn’t actually a fee, you get something you can use. Don’t worry, it won’t be that bad. Its a win, win for everyone!
